.
“An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind” said the father our nation, Mahatma Gandhi, a staunch believer of peace.  And this talk about India being a soft target, for the terrorists, is not entirely baseless, but now I put a question here.
We all  stand united in showcasing the fact that India is poor, the politicians are corrupt, its people are illiterate and this, on the whole makes our motherland look pretty skint and cheap – a very good opportunity for the ‘so-called’ terrorists to hunt us down.  But do we ever think of doing our moral duty and responsibility completely? Do we defend our country, our motherland, which has given us so much to admire? Never! (Only very few can be handpicked, really!).  Are we not patriotic enough or are we ungrateful so as to feel ashamed of calling ourselves Indians? And last of all, we claim that the people are illiterate and the politicians are corrupt!
Hello, are we really awake? Because we are the ones who elect them.   Which means we don’t actually do our duty properly and are not really concerned about India’s prospects?  We are all too full with ego, envy and jealousy that we are not really bothered about what happens to the country but we get carried away with our personal glory.  And India which believes in the policy “live and let live” has now become vulnerable to the terrorists attacks.  We must remember though that there can neither be another Gandhi nor Obama.  At the same time, we must keep in mind the fact that you don't have security provided free in this world, only opportunity.  So, before it is too late let's rise ahead to grab it and stay vigilant before another 26/11 happens – by mistake. And as it is said, "happiness hides in life’s small details", let us, without stepping over our moral values and shifting blames over others, learn to maintain unity in diversity, enjoy every single minute of our life , in this great country.
